Kisup Lee
I was born and raised 8 miles below the 38th parallel that divided South and North Korea. I lived in South Korean until I was 29 years old and then moved to Japan. I studied business and got B.S. and master’s degree at Waseda University. After graduation I really enjoyed my business during Japan’s bubble economy era.
I wanted to be a successful businessman, so my mind was full of ‘Money Market’. One day God gave me a vision to chase a ‘Soul’s Market’ instead of ‘Money Market’. So, I went to Japan Bible Seminary and received master of divinity.
In 1999, I came over to US, and we started the Japanese Ministry at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in 2000 and the Korean Ministry in 2017.
My wife Yoshie and I are blessed with three children and three grandchildren. We love to invite people over to our house for BBQ parties. I do enjoy golfing with my wife, son, and others. I would like to reach out to people with golfing as a new ministry.
My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 57:15, “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the heart of the contrite.”
My heart needs to be revived to become more contrite and lowly in the eyes of the Lord.
