A Biblical Response to Artificial Intelligence

Our culture is awash in fantastical visions about the remarkable future promised by artificial intelligence. Everywhere you read about the subject, it seems only a matter of time before the machines become sentient and surpass human intellect. Many present a utopian dream that man and machine will merge to create a new form of life that is far beyond Man’s natural state. Others foresee a darker future where the machines we create will one day rule over us.

But how should we, as Christians, respond to what the world is telling us about the future of AI? Should we be worried that the robots will take over and exterminate humanity? Should we be concerned that globalist elites will use this technology to turn our modern age into an Orwellian nightmare? Should we look forward to and partake in technological enhancements to the human condition? What does the Bible have to teach us about AI? Can it really teach us anything about this novel technology? Join us in this 3 week class on Christianity and AI to learn about biblical principles by which we can come to a proper understanding of AI that leaves us reassured and unafraid for the future.
